What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a treatment used to remove hair. At our clinic in Surrey, we use a focused light beam to heat and permanently deactivate hair follicles while they are actively growing, preventing new hairs from developing in the treated area.

What results will I get with laser hair removal?

After completing the recommended course at our Surrey clinic, you can expect up to an 80-90% permanent reduction in unwanted hair, leaving skin smoother and dramatically reducing the need for shaving or waxing.

Is laser hair removal safe?

This award-winning laser hair removal treatment is safe and effective for most skin types. The staff at Light Touch Clinic are highly qualified professionals who undergo regular training in order to maintain the clinic’s exacting standards, delivering an effective service that ensures patient safety and satisfaction.

How long does laser hair removal take?

The duration of sessions varies based on the specific body part being treated. For instance, treating underarms typically takes 10 minutes, half arms or lower legs may require 20 minutes, while full back and shoulder sessions may last 45 minutes. For a comprehensive full-body treatment, the duration can extend to 2 hours.

What can I expect after laser hair removal treatment?

The final results will develop over time. We recommend you complete the suggested number of treatment sessions in order to achieve your expected results. You may find that your skin feels a little sensitive for around 24 hours following the procedure.

Exposure to the sun, sunbeds and other tanning procedures should be avoided for up to 7 days post-treatment, as should extreme heat. Swimming pools should not be visited for around 48 hours, and make-up and skin creams should not be used for a few days.

Applying aloe vera gel for the first 2-3 days will also help calm the area and prevent discomfort.

How do I prepare for laser hair removal?

You’ll be asked to discontinue waxing or tweezing six weeks before a laser hair removal treatment. You’ll also be asked to avoid sun exposure and spray tans two weeks beforehand.

You will also need to have shaved the area prior to your visit. This will all be explained to you in your consultation.

Why is it important to complete a course of laser hair removal treatments?

Only a fraction of your follicles are active during any single appointment; completing the full course guarantees that every follicle is targeted during its growth period, resulting in a long-term reduction.

How many sessions of laser hair removal are needed to see results?

Most clients need eight to ten sessions because hair grows in cycles, and only follicles in the active phase will respond to the laser during each visit.

What areas do you treat with laser hair removal?

We safely treat virtually every part of the body, including the face, arms, body, bikini line, and legs, for both women and men.

How long should I wait between laser hair removal sessions?

Sessions are usually spaced four to six weeks apart for body areas and six to eight weeks for facial areas to match the growth cycle and maximise follicle capture.

Am I suitable for laser hair removal?

Soprano Ice laser hair removal is suitable for all skin types and tones. We will carry out a full assessment of your unwanted hair during a consultation, before treatment. This will enable one of our practitioners to explain the treatment process and discuss the type of results you may expect.

We do not offer laser hair removal treatments to clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding at our Surrey clinic. Your safety is most important.

If you have a tattoo, we also do not treat directly on the area as it can lead to burns, blisters and/or fading and discolouration of the tattoo. We can treat around it, though.

Are there any side effects or risks to laser hair removal?

Light Touch Clinic has an excellent reputation for delivering safe, successful results. We will talk to you about any possible side effects or risks during the pre-treatment consultation, including the chance of developing skin redness, blistering, bruising, swelling, skin discolouration and bacterial infections. However, the side effects produced are usually mild and subside within a few days after treatment.

Carly runs a course of 20 minute EMS one-to- one classes which is like doing a 1+ hour gym class. Wired up to electric pulses that stimulate muscles while doing exercise is a fantastic way to work muscles. Carly is a qualified fitness instructor who really knows her stuff and is so encouraging. I have had 2 treatments with Dr Maria Olah. Using a “skin booster”. Her attention with care by using relaxation with music/creams, ice pack and a “light touch” with accuracy . Have given me beautiful results with minimal discomfort. The combination of the product and Dr Maria are the best results. Sammy is a great therapist who is lovely and very knowledgeable. I had some pigmentation under my eyes from past sun exposure and Sammy uses Tixel a heated device (a bit like laser) to target the area and after 3 sessions it is so much better.

My sister had recommended this clinic to me and I am so glad I went. Natalie was absolutely amazing- she was extremely friendly and informative. I had the polynucleotide treatment under my eyes. The treatment worked really well and I could see the difference straight after the first session. I am a man, not someone you'd think needed Botox, But I had really bad frown lines. I wanted Botox, but I didn't want to look weird.

I have struggled with my weight for years and I’ve lost a lot of confidence because of it.
I wanted to find a way to lose weight safely and effectively and also start exercising.
I discovered the Emerald laser at Light Touch Clinic which has been amazing. It helps me lose fat, but at the same time I was encouraged to exercise using (EMS) electro muscle stimulation. This is an exercise suit that I wear and I was trained one-to-one by the lovely Carly.
This was perfect for me because I have felt so ashamed and didn’t want to go to a gym with other people looking at me.

I just had an amazing Hydra Facial with Sammy at Light Touch Clinic in Weybridge.
I have been having various problems with my skin due to Peri- Menopause. I have bought countless products to help with it but was so confused, as was my skin and felt I was just throwing money away. Sammy made me feel so comfortable, it was such a relief to have an expert really take time and look at my face and tailor a treatment just for me. She talked me through it all but I think if I would have not wanted the info she would have not bombarded me either. I am so happy with the results. It is I big splurge for me to do this so it was very nice to get offer of booster treatment for free. If they do any offers on this treatment I highly recommend. I will definitely go back and book another treatment. ????

Poor experience.

They just wanted to sell you products. I went in for a facial paying 25 consultation fee ( which they rushed during someone's lunch break). They advised I should be on tretanoin and hydroqq. That is like 500 a month to treat. They pressure you into paying there, I didn't as I made an excuse. I asked them to send me prices and things through email which they didn't. You can get those products online for third of the price. I don't have active acne, just bad texture from scaring.

They said a facial wouldn't work.
How stupid you think I am. If I wanted a facial, let me get the facial wth.

The girl was just fake and obviously more into sales than customer service or skincare.

I wouldn't go here, I'm sure some staff are good but they managed the whole clinic terribly.

I lost my deposit to their greed. I was disappointed in their approach so didn't want to book a facial in the end. Don't want to see them again TBF.

Waste of time. So many better places out there.

Omg I can’t believe what a difference my back is after my emerald session!
I’ve struggled with sciatica for years now but the start of this year I’ve really struggled and was planning on going back to my gp as it still didn’t feel quite right. Had a a chat with Dr Natalie and we agreed to try the Emerald laser. It was a 15 minutes session and wow… for the First time In 4 months today was the first morning I haven’t had to do a 10 minute stretching routine.
If you struggle with Sciatica I would HIGHLY recommend this!
